Santa Maria Coin Club

COME CELEBRATE 50 YEARS OF THE
SANTA MARIA COIN CLUB ESTABLISHED FEBRUARY 1957

The Santa Maria Coin Club was organized February 1957, by several men and women after serving in the armed forces. They included Jay Grose, Bill Sexton, Clyde and T. Billings, Ed and Marge Fitzimmons and Jack Lema. Bill Sexton was known as the "Penny King" because he had a room full of itemized pennies.

The Santa Maria Coin Club is a local non-profit organization. We have members from Lompoc to San Luis Obispo. Our meetings are informal. The meetings feature a program, buying and selling of coins, sharing of coins and a monthly raffle. Topics may include new issues, grading, storing, price comparisons. In addition we evaluate each another's coin selections and share advice on it. Come join us and have your questions answered by local Santa Maria coin collectors. We welcome experienced and beginner collectors and encourage your participation at our monthly meetings.
